A method for the assessment of the state of the accessory apparatus of the eye following the traumatic injury provides for positioning of the eyebrows and the eyelids, assessing the asymmetry of the eyebrows and the motility of the eyelids, assessing the grade of ptosis and lagophthalmos, the shape and the size of the palpebral fissure, the state of the lacrimal passages. In addition, the area of the injury of the eyebrows, the skin of eyelids, the tarsal plates is scored in points; the symmetry indices of the eyebrows, palpebral folds, orbitopalpebral groove, the lacrimal triangle, the palpebral fissure are assessed; the breaks of the lacrimal ductules and the eyelid ligaments are accounted; the state of the muscular, tear-producing and lacrimal passaging apparatus is assessed; the cicatrices and deformities are detected; the cosmetics index is calculated. |
