摘要 PURPOSE: A device for electrochemically treating wastewater of high salinity is provided to efficiently remove a high concentration of salt from wastewater and to recycle byproducts such as sodium hydroxide, which is generated from a wastewater treating process, into a catalytic agent for manufacturing epoxy. CONSTITUTION: A device for electrochemically treating wastewater of high salinity comprises an electrolyzed water bath (10), a high salinity wastewater supplying unit (20), a water supplying unit (40), a sodium hydroxide concentrating bath (60), a chlorine gas storage tank (30), and a hydrogen gas storage tank (50). The electrolyzed water bath is separated into an anode chamber (110) and a cathode chamber (130) by an ion exchanging membrane (150). A high salinity wastewater supplying unit supplies high salinity wastewater into the anode chamber. The water supplying unit supplies water into the cathode chamber. Sodium hydroxide is generated by combining sodium ions, which are generated from the electrolysis of the wastewater and are passed through the ion exchanging membrane, and hydroxide ions generated from the electrolysis of water. The sodium hydroxide concentrating bath stores and concentrates the sodium hydroxide. The anode chamber generates chlorine gas by the electrolysis of the wastewater, and the chlorine gas is stored in the chlorine gas storage tank. The cathode chamber generates hydrogen gas by the electrolysis of water, and the hydrogen gas is stored in the hydrogen gas storage tank.
