PURPOSE: A black rice bran, Basidiomycetes, and a bioconverted product are remarkably improve activation of macrophage and dendritic cells, and to be used as an immunoadjuvant. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing an immunoadjuvant comprises the steps of: making a liquid culture medium using black rice (Oryza sativa L.); inoculating Basidiomycetes to the liquid black rice medium and culturing the strain; and producing a bioconverted product with improved immunity from the culture. The bioconverted product is a polymeric polysaccharide. The effective concentration (EC50) of the immunoadjuvant is 1 microgram/mL or less in measuring activation of macrophage. A physiologically active material with immunity is prepared by the method. A pharmaceutical, a health food, a feed additive, or a cosmetic composition contains the physiologically active material.
