<p>PURPOSE: A touch display device and an operating method thereof are provided to minimize the distortion of original coordinates and to smoothly process lines connecting the coordinates by actively adjusting filtering features about touch coordinate data according to a direction or speed of a touch spot. CONSTITUTION: A touch coordinate generating unit (201) receives a touch sensing signal from a touch screen to generate touch sensing data, checks a touch spot based on the data, and generates touch coordinate data including touch coordinate information of the touch spot. A filter unit (202) compares n-1st and n-2nd accumulated filter touch coordinate data to calculate a movement speed of the touch spot, adjusts filtering features about nth touch coordinate data based on the movement speed, and generates nth accumulated filtering touch coordinate data by filtering the nth touch coordinate data.
