PURPOSE: A lithium added negative electrode material for lithium secondary batteries and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to drastically reduce irreversible capacity in initial charge-discharging of the lithium secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: A lithium added negative electrode material for lithium secondary batteries is lithium added by heat-treating the cathode material under lithium metal vapor atmosphere. The cathode material comprises silicon oxide coated with graphite, silicon oxide, graphite-silicon oxide composite, carbon-coated silicon oxide, silicon nanostructure having granular or wire-like structure or carbon - silicon nano composite that forms silicon particle within porous carbon. |
