PURPOSE: A polyester fiber is provided to show excellent creep property with high intensity and elongation to be usable in rope for industrial material or marine, and to have excellent mechanical property and abrasion resistance, base water absorption rate, light-proof, and excellent shape stability etc. CONSTITUTION: A polyester fiber has a elongation of more than 6.8% in 50% of MBL measured at room temperature. When the fiber is left for 7 days in a state of applying 50% of load to the breaking strength of the fiber, the creep rate is less than 8.5% which is defined by formula 1.
