PURPOSE: A steering wheel alarming apparatus and a controlling method thereof are provided to alarm a driver a danger state through a touch sense by using a vibration outputting part disposed in a steering wheel. CONSTITUTION: A steering wheel alarming apparatus comprises a sensing part (D) which includes a distance sensor sensing a distance to an external object and a steering angle sensor unit which senses a steering state of a shaft; a plurality of vibration outputting parts (40) which is arranged in a steering wheel; a storing part (30) which stores a preset data including rotation-relating date and a sensed signal from the steering angle sensor unit; a controller (20) which is connected to the sensing part and the storing part and transmits output control signals to the vibration output part; and a calculating part which calculates vibration outputting part for applying the outputting control signal corresponding to danger alignment and the rotation of the steering wheel through sensed signals input from the sensed part.
