PURPOSE: A garbage bin for compressing garbage is provided to simply compress garbage using a compressing lid without an additional unit. CONSTITUTION: A garbage bin (1) for compressing garbage comprises a compressing lid. The compressing lid has a lid housing (70) having a handle (71), a friction drum inlet groove, an elastic drum pad, a drum pad pusher, a spring connector, a drive spring, a friction drum drive unit (72), and a friction drum drive unit stopper. The friction drum inlet groove is formed on the side surface of the lid housing. The drum pad enters the friction drum inlet groove when the lid housing moves in the garbage bin. The drum pad pusher is attached to the friction drum pad to transfer power to the friction drum pad. The spring connector transfers power to the drum pad pusher. One end of the spring connector is connected to the drive spring, and the other end is connected to the drum pad pusher. |
