PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make even an image forming apparatus that has not been registered in advance to a print service system side perform printing via the system.SOLUTION: When the image forming apparatus 10 has succeeded in user authentication in response to an authentication request from a user, the image forming apparatus 10 transmits a registration request including the user ID of the user and the identification information of the image forming apparatus 10 to a print service 20. In response to the transmission, the print service 20 registers the image forming apparatus as a printer to be used by the user, and forms a printer object 22 for the image forming apparatus 10. The the image forming apparatus further obtains, from a document storage 30, a list of electronic documents which can be printed by the user, receives the selection of the document to be printed, and transmits information specifying the selected document and the printer object 22 to the document storage 30. The document storage 30 transmits, to the printer object 22, a print instruction to print the selected document. The printer object 22 transmits, to the image forming apparatus 10, a job in response to the print instruction. |
