PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater improved against hot water shortage even in a weather condition that generates frost.SOLUTION: The water heater includes a water heater body and a control device for controlling the water heater body, wherein the water heater body includes an evaporator that warms up a refrigerant by absorbing heat from air, a compressor that compresses the warmed refrigerant to raise the temperature using electric power, a heat exchanger that heats up the hot water by the temperature risen refrigerant, and a hot water storage tank that pools the hot water heated by the heat exchanger. In addition, the control device performs hot water shortage control (step S8) to avoid shortage of hot water from the hot water storage tank based on acquired weather data when it is decided that the evaporator generates frost under a weather condition (step S3: Yes). |
