PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new battery system capable of determining a ground fault place from multiple battery cells when the ground fault occurs in a battery unit where the multiple battery cells are serially connected.SOLUTION: A battery system includes: a battery part 2 where multiple battery cells 20 are serially connected; a grounding part 5 for alternately grounding a first potential point and a second potential point, that are different in potential, respectively on a current route with the flow of a main current in the battery part 2 via a ground fault detection resistor for ground fault detection; a measurement part for respectively measuring a first current flowing in the ground fault detection resistor when the first potential point is grounded and a second current flowing in the ground fault detection resistor when the second potential point is grounded; and a determination part for determining a ground fault place where the ground fault occurs in the battery part on the basis of the first current and the second current. |
