PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detection device which is capable of accurate absolute angle detection while reducing the influences of backlash.SOLUTION: A rotation angle detection device comprises: a first rotor which rotates while being interlocked with steering; second and third rotors which rotate while being interlocked with the first rotor; a fourth rotor which rotates while being interlocked with the second rotor; a detection body which rotates while being interlocked with the third and fourth rotors; detection means which detects rotation of the detection body; and control means which detects a rotation angle of the rotor on the basis of a detection signal from the detection means. Each of the first to fourth rotors and the detection body includes a gear part as interlock means, and each of the gear parts is configured to settle the detection body within a rotation range less than one time of rotation when the steering is rotated from one maximum steering angle to the other maximum steering angle. |
