PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of dehydrating a resin pellet by forcibly supplying an outside air downward by a propeller provided to an upper part of a rotor.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a device and method for dehydrating a resin pellet. In the device for dehydrating the resin pellet, resin pellet slurry (14) supplied into a case (2) is separated into water and a resin pellet (12) by a dehydration section (40), the resin pellet (12) is discharged from a resin pellet exit (13), and outside air sucked by a propeller (30) provided to an upper part of a rotor (6) is blown to the resin pellet (12).
