PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device which transfers an ink image formed on an image carrier to a recording medium and, without increasing the power consumption, suppresses ooze of the ink image on the recording medium and enhances transfer efficiency of the ink image from the image carrier to the recording medium.SOLUTION: A part of moisture in an ink 7 is absorbed by a temperature-sensitive polymer layer 12 by making the temperature-sensitive polymer layer 12, hydrophilic when the ink image is formed by an ink discharge head 2. Meanwhile, moisture is oozed from the temperature-sensitive polymer layer 12 by making a hydrophilic aqueous medium 71 in the temperature-sensitive polymer layer 12 and the ink 7 hydrophobic by heating by a first heating member 8a when the ink image formed on the image carrier 1 is transferred to a form P, and the moisture oozed from the temperature-sensitive polymer layer 12 and the ink 7 made hydrophobic are made to repel each other to decrease the sticking force of the ink 7 to the temperature-sensitive polymer layer 12. |
