摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A waste minimization method during a nickel (Ni) smelting process is provided to reduce the amount of a used raw material and to minimize the amount of waste by generating an industrial raw material from waste. CONSTITUTION: A waste minimization method during a nickel (Ni) smelting process comprises the following steps. A reducing ore for leaching an Ni ore which is reduced by a hydrogen-containing gas is converted into slurry. A leaching solution is made by adding a hydrochloric acid or a sulfuric acid to the slurry. A ferronickel metal is extracted by replacing iron (Fe) in the Ni ore with Ni ions of the leaching solution after the reducing ore for extracting the Ni ore which is reduced by a hydrogen-containing gas is added to the leaching solution. An Fe ion-containing solution is obtained by removing the ferronickel metal. Magnetite is generated by putting Fe into an oxidation-reduction reaction by injecting the air after a Ca-containing alkaline chemicals is injected into the Fe ion-containing solution.</p>
