<p>PURPOSE: A detection circuit for batteries is provided to reduce power consumption and to detect an abnormal operation state of batteries. CONSTITUTION: A detection circuit (200) includes a sensing unit (203), a signal reference supply source (207), and a detection unit (205). The sensing unit provides a sensing signal by sensing an input signal indicating a battery state. The signal reference supply source is combined with the sensing unit and includes a reference node. The signal reference supply source determines a signal reference for the reference node and receives the sensing signal from the reference node. The signal reference supply source is biased by the sensing signal and generates a trigger signal indicating a difference between the sensing signal and the signal reference. The detection unit generates an output signal according to the trigger signal indicating an abnormal state of a battery.
