PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve charging acceptance of a lead-acid battery.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a lead-acid battery, a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate and an electrolyte are held in a battery jar, and the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate are formed by battery jar formation. The battery jar formation is performed in a state where each of the concentrations of sodium ions, lithium ions, aluminum ions and magnesium ions in the electrolyte is less than 0.02 mol/L, and either sodium ions, lithium ions, aluminum ions or magnesium ions are added at a concentration of 0.02 mol/L or more and 0.2 mol/L or less to the electrolyte after the battery jar formation. |
