PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure a displacement device for displacing a cam carrier which is externally fitted to a camshaft, in an axial line direction without using an electromagnetic actuator.SOLUTION: A displacement device 9s is constituted of an engaged part 30, an engaging member 40 and a turning device 50 described as follows. The engaged part 30 is provided to the outer peripheral surface of a cam carrier 20 and includes a first spiral groove 32 which is deviated to one side L in an axial direction toward the opposite direction of a rotating direction, and a second spiral groove 37 which is deviated to another side R in the axial line direction. The engaging member 40 is V-shaped to sandwich the cam carrier 20 at intervals and includes a first engage part 42 and a second engage part 47 at the inside of both tip ends of the V shape, which are engaged alternatively with the first spiral groove 32 or the second spiral groove 37 by turning in circumferential directions P, Q. The turning device 50 turns the engaging member 40 to both the sides P, Q in the circumferential direction in accordance with an oil pressure change. |
