PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a load, including a large power load such as a charger charging a charged device such as an electric vehicle, to become widely used at low cost.SOLUTION: A power supply apparatus 1 includes: a storage battery 13 storing electric power supplied from an electric power system 2 and having a battery body 13a and a battery management device 13b; a management device 14, a changeover switch 16, and a power conditioner 11 which serve as controlling means that controls the power supply from the electric power system 2 to the storage battery 13 and the power supply to a quick charger 20 serving as a load operated by electric power accumulated in the storage battery 13.
