PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enclosing/sealing device which can certainly seal a sealed envelope by applying a folding step to an envelope paper at a correct folding position complying with the thickness of an enclosure, if there is such a thickness.SOLUTION: This enclosing/sealing device 1 manufactures a sealed envelope E by applying a folding process and performing enclosing/sealing process in such a way that the enclosure Eb is wrapped using an envelope paper Ea. Besides, the device is equipped with a control part 17 including: (1) a folding position regulating part 19 for regulating the folding position of the conveyed sealed envelope paper Ea; (2) an information acquisition means 17Ab for obtaining the thickness of the enclosure Eb as information on the thickness of the enclosure Eb; and (3) a judgment processing part 17C which outputs, to a folding position regulating part 19, information on the adjustment/control of folding position for regulating the appropriate folding position of the envelope paper Ea, on the enclosure Eb in accordance with information on the enclosure thickness of the enclosure Eb. |
