PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a rubber composition, by which an activity of a coupling function of a silane coupling agent is further enhanced and a rubber composition having preferably low heat generation can be obtained.SOLUTION: The production method aims to produce a rubber composition containing a rubber component (A) comprising at least one rubber selected from natural rubber and a synthetic diene rubber, a filler including an inorganic filler (B), a silane coupling agent (C), and at least one vulcanization accelerator (D) selected from guanidines, sulfenamides, thiazols, thiurams, dithiocarbamates, thioureas and xanthates. The method includes kneading the rubber composition in a plurality of stages, in which a part (A') of the rubber component (A), the whole or a part of the inorganic filler (B), the whole or a part of the silane coupling agent (C), and the whole or a part of the vulcanization accelerator (D) are added and kneaded in the first stage (X) of kneading, and the rest (A") of the rubber component (A) is added and kneaded in the second and succeeding stages of kneading. |
