PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: in a shell type needle roller bearing which has shell shape with a seal ring, a torque loss is increased and wearing occurs on a slide contact surface since a needle roller bearing disposed at an upstream side of the flow of lubricating oil is pressed into contact with the seal ring disposed at a downstream side by oil pressure of the lubricating oil.SOLUTION: The shell type needle roller bearing comprises an outer ring 11, a needle roller bearing 12 disposed on an inner diameter surface of the outer ring, and a seal ring 13 disposed at a downstream side in a flowing direction (a) of lubricating oil with respect to the needle roller bearing 12, wherein between the seal ring 13 and a rotary shaft 17, a suitable clearance δ is formed. On a slide contact surface 18 of either the seal ring 13 or a cage 15 in slide-contact with the seal ring, a rugged surface 19 is formed which is configured by aggregating a number of convex parts and concave parts. |
