PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vortex reduction cap arranged above a discharge port of the bottom of a process fluid mixing/holding tank and which provides a passive element within a fluid path running within the cap.SOLUTION: In order to prevent formation of a surface vortex when the fluid level is low and intake of air/gas resulting therefrom, the flow of the fluid that flows out through the discharge port of the bottom of the process fluid mixing/holding tank is divided and the direction of the flow is changed, by means of the passive elements in the cap. Preferably, the passive element includes one or a plurality of turbine blades and the one or the plurality of the turbine blades rotates when the fluid passes through the turbine blades. For the purpose of dividing the flow passing through the discharge cap to prevent formation of a vortex, it is also possible to use various kinds of stationary pillars or stationary pins. |
