PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve various movements of a seat without inviting increase of the number of components of a chair.SOLUTION: In a chair 1 formed by supporting a seat 4 at a leg body through a support mechanism, the support mechanism includes: a hard part 11 having an elastic deformation area to be elastically deformed when the load is applied to the seat 4; and a pair of opposed surfaces provided within a thickness in the elastic deformation area of the hard part 11, to be brought closer accompanying the elastic deformation. When the hard part 11 is deformed to a prescribed elastic deformation limit, the opposed surfaces are directly or indirectly abutted to each other, and a configuration, such that the deformation exceeding the elastic deformation limit of the hard part 11 is suppressed, is adopted. |
