PURPOSE: A display apparatus which provides a 3D image and a method thereof are provided to separate supplementary data which are respectively included in left and right eye images of 3D image data, combine the supplementary data with a full 3D image, and display the combined image on a screen. CONSTITUTION: A receiving unit (210) receives 3D image data in which a frame is comprised of a left eye image and a right eye image. A resolution converter (220) separates supplementary data which is included in the 3D image data and converts each resolution of the left eye image and the right eye image. A control unit (230) combines the supplementary data with the left eye image and the right eye image in which a resolution is changed and displays the combined image through a display unit (240).
