摘要 PURPOSE: A battery charging method in hybrid construction machinery is provided to compensate engine output torque in a state of controlling an engine according to a corresponding mode, thereby preventing the engine from stopping and improving fuel efficiency and work efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A battery charging method in hybrid construction machinery comprises the following steps. An engine is driven at a corresponding RPM when a start signal is inputted (S100). A vehicle control device determines whether an amount of electric energy charged in a battery is in a normal range that can compensate an engine output torque if a compensation request for insufficiency of the engine output torque is generated (S110). If the amount of electric energy charged in the battery is not in the normal range, the vehicle control device controls the engine to drive at a minimum RPM that does not discharge the charged electric energy in the battery until the amount of the charged electric energy in the battery reaches the normal range.
