PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an exhaust pressure from excessively rising and secure reliability of an exhaust system, in an engine with a turbo supercharger.SOLUTION: A controller (PCM10), when an exhaust pressure is a first pressure or less, controls the degree of opening of a flow-rate regulating valve (regulating valve 64a) such that the exhaust pressure becomes a target supercharging pressure set in accordance with the operation state of the engine 1 and, when the exhaust pressure is higher than the first pressure, controls the degree of opening of the flow-rate regulating valve such that the exhaust pressure does not exceed a second pressure higher than the first pressure. |
