PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive resin composition capable of forming a black column spacer having a sufficient height difference when light exposure is performed through a halftone mask, a black column spacer formed by using the composition, a display device including the black column spacer, and a method for forming a black column spacer using the composition.SOLUTION: In a photosensitive resin composition for a black column spacer which contains an alkali-soluble resin, a photopolymerizable monomer, a photopolymerization initiator and a light-shielding agent, a resin to be used as the alkali-soluble resin contains a resin having a cardo structure and an acrylic resin.
