摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron-air secondary battery which has a sufficient discharge capacity and is excellent in cycle characteristic.SOLUTION: A negative electrode mixture for an iron-air secondary battery contains iron oxide and binder, with the binder containing polyethylene as main component and having a peak originated from the polyethylene showing maximum heat absorption amount in differential scan calorimetry and a peak showing heat absorption amount next to the former within a measurement temperature range of 80-90°C. A negative electrode mixture slurry for an iron-air secondary battery includes the negative electrode mixture and solvent. A method of manufacturing a negative electrode for the iron-air secondary battery includes steps of painting the negative electrode mixture slurry and removing solvent in the negative electrode mixture slurry having been painted. The negative electrode for the iron-air secondary battery is obtained by the manufacturing method. The iron-air secondary battery includes the negative electrode, a positive electrode, and an electrolyte.
