PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ink for an inkjet recording device, with which an image having required density is formed and the occurrence of strike-through in a recording medium after formation of an image is suppressed, and to provide an image forming method using the inkjet recording device.SOLUTION: The ink for the inkjet recording device contains at least water, a pigment dispersion containing a pigment and a resin, and an organic solvent and has 20-2,000 mPa s penetration drying viscosity measured by a predetermined measurement method. The image is formed using the ink in the inkjet recording device.
