PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell with a large area for receiving solar light and a high absorption coefficient of the solar light.SOLUTION: A solar cell 10 includes plural battery units 120, and an insulation substrate 110. One battery unit includes a first electrode layer 122, a p-type semiconductor layer 124, an n-type semiconductor layer 126, and a second electrode layer 128. One battery unit has a light reception face, and the first electrode layer, the p-type semiconductor layer, the n-type semiconductor layer, and the second electrode layer are parallely provided in contact with each other. The p-type semiconductor layer is in contact with the n-type semiconductor layer to form a pn-junction. In one battery unit, respective layers are parallely provided in contact with each other on one straight line. The light reception face is a surface parallel to the straight line, and plural recess grooves 112 are provided on one surface of the insulation substrate at intervals. At least one battery unit is provided in each recess groove, and a reflection element 150 is provided between the recess groove and the battery unit. |
