PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly-accurately obtain a cutting edge, having the intended hardness and hardness distribution, by a simple method.SOLUTION: A micro edge tool 10 can be manufactured by a manufacturing process including: a step of preparing a steel material; a hardening step in which an area of the steel material wider than an area, planned to form a cutting edge 13 therein, of the steel material is subjected to laser hardening to form a hardened area 21 in a part of the steel material; and a machining step in which the steel material formed with the hardened area 21 is machined to form the cutting edge 13 in the hardened area 21.
