PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter head driving device (4) capable of supporting both ends of a pinion (35) by effectively utilizing a frame member on an excavator body side, and a cutter head driving device (4) capable of having a pinion (35), an output shaft member (36), driving parts (41, 42), etc., individually being replaced.SOLUTION: A cutter head driving device (4) of a tunnel excavator (1) includes a ring gear (30) which transmits turning force of a cutter head (2), and a plurality of rotary driving devices (31) having a plurality of pinions (35) engaging the ring gear (30) and a plurality of rotary driving machines (37) rotatably driving the pinions (35). A front-end bearing member (38a) supporting a front-end shaft part (35a) of each pinion (35) rotatably and a rear-end bearing member (38b) supporting a rear-end shaft part (35b) rotatably are supported by an inner peripheral side frame (8) and an outer peripheral frame (9) as frame members fixed to a partition wall (3a) partitioning off a chamber (3) on a back side of the cutter head (2) and included in the excavator body. |
