PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a position of a cutoff line of a headlight.SOLUTION: A headlight tester comprises: a screen onto which irradiation light is irradiated from a headlight; first and second light detection means that is arrayed in line on the screen and that detects a luminous intensity of irradiation light irradiated from the headlight; traveling means for causing the first and second light detection means to travel toward the arrayed position; and calculation means for calculating a maximum value of a calculation result obtained by subtracting a luminous intensity of irradiation light detected by the second light detection means from a luminous intensity of irradiation light detected by the first light detection means when the first and second light detection means was traveled to the arrayed position by the traveling means, to calculate a position, when the maximum value is obtained, as a position of a cutoff line.
