PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a permanent magnet type rotary electrical machine that is hardly demagnetized, has reduced cogging, and facilitates circumferential direction positioning of a permanent magnet and a yoke.SOLUTION: A permanent magnet type rotary electrical machine includes an armature 20 and a field magnet provided at the outer peripheral side of the armature 20 via a gap. The field magnet 10 includes an arc-like permanent magnets 11 that are arranged at equal intervals in the circumferential direction and concentric with the armature 20, and arc-like yokes 12 that are disposed at equal intervals in the circumferential direction at the outer periphery of the permanent magnets 11 and concentric with the armature 20. Yoke gaps 12a are formed between adjoining yokes 12. The yoke gaps 12a are located at the center part in the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral face of the permanent magnets 11. On the outer peripheral face of the permanent magnets 11 facing the yoke gaps 12a, depressions 11b having a predetermined width in the circumferential direction and a predetermined depth in the radial direction are provided. |
