PURPOSE: A mold device for preventing defect of casting is provided to remove head flow of molten metal and prevent turbulence due to the head flow, thereby preventing casting from having defects due to entrained impurity and oxide. CONSTITUTION: A mold device for preventing defects in casting is characterized by the followings. A casting part (14) includes a boss casting space (18) forming a propeller boss, and a blade casting space (16) the root portion of which is connected to the boss casting space. The boss casting space is connected to a bath hole (20) through a conduit (22) that is formed in the casting part. The end portion of the blade casting space is connected to the boss casting space through a subsidiary conduit (30) for supplying molten metal to the end portion of the blade casting space, which corresponds to the root portion of the blade casting space.
