PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal lead capable of preventing a fluid, e.g., electrolyte, housed in the exterior body from leaking to the outside thereof, while reducing the electrical resistance with a connected member, and to provide a manufacturing method of the terminal lead, and an electrochemical device including the terminal lead.SOLUTION: A terminal lead 1 has an inner end 1a placed on the inside of an exterior body housing an electrochemical element, and an outer end 1b placed on the outside of the exterior body, and includes a planar metal substrate 2 as a substrate. A resin film 4 for insulation is provided at a part of the terminal lead 1 corresponding to the sealing part of the exterior body. Furthermore, the terminal lead 1 is provided with a surface coating layer 3 on both surfaces of the metal substrate 2 in the thickness direction. The amount of coating at both ends in the width direction of the surface coating layer 3 arranged at both ends in the width direction on both surfaces of the metal substrate 2 in the thickness direction is smaller than the amount of coating at a middle part in the width direction of the surface coating layer 3 arranged at a middle part in the width direction on both surfaces of the metal substrate 2 in the thickness direction. |
