PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply device and light-emitting diode lighting device, capable of suppressing fluctuations in load currents even when an AC voltage varies in a wide voltage range.SOLUTION: The configuration of a switching power supply device in the switching power supply device and light-emitting diode lighting device includes a rectification section 12 that rectifies an AC input voltage Vac and outputs a pulsating voltage; a power conversion section 13 that supplies a predetermined load current IL to a load 15 with a pulsating voltage as an input; a current detection section 14 that detects the load current IL; a driving control section 16 that controls the power conversion section 13 so that the load current IL is a constant current; and an input voltage detection section 19 that detects a fluctuation in an AC input voltage Vac.
