PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell separation device which can easily stratify without disarranging the interface of a sample on stratification, and can recover a target substance in good impurity, while preventing the mixing of the separated target substance, and to provide a centrifugal separation method.SOLUTION: The cell separation device equipped with the first container 11 having the first liquid-receiving portion 51 and the second container 12 having the second liquid-receiving portion 52 and disposed under the first container 11 in a relatively rotatable state is characterized by having the first switch mechanism 55 which can relatively rotate the first container 11 and the second container 12, thereby enabling to switch into a communication state for communicating the first liquid-receiving portion 51 with the second liquid-receiving portion 52 or into an interception state for intercepting the communication. |
