PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved locking mechanism for a movable member of an open roof construction for a vehicle.SOLUTION: A locking mechanism for a movable member of an open roof construction for a vehicle includes a resting part 1 provided with a first guide, a locking lever 8 movable in the first direction for driving the movable member and locking the movable member on a predetermined position, and an operation part 6 movable in the first direction for controlling the movement of the locking lever 8. The locking lever 8 has a first cam 9 for cooperating with the first guide, and the first guide has a first guide part 4 extending in the substantially parallel direction to the first direction for moving the locking lever 8, and a second guide part connected to the first guide part 4 in the second direction and capable of receiving the first cam 9 for preventing the locking lever 8 from further moving in the first direction. |
