PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem of a conventional system that a viewer is required to specify an object of interest so as to adjust the parallax amount of a stereoscopic video within a recommended range of parallax amount, and thereby troublesome labor is imposed.SOLUTION: An attention area of stereoscopic video information is acquired, and the maximum parallax information indicating the maximum parallax amount out of the parallax amounts of respective areas of a stereoscopic video having a predetermined correlation with the attention area is acquired from the stereoscopic video. The parallax amount change information for changing the parallax amount of the stereoscopic video information so as to reduce the parallax amount of the attention area is acquired based on the predetermined correlation in a range where the maximum parallax amount is smaller than an allowable maximum parallax amount. Parallax of an input stereoscopic video is adjusted based on the parallax amount change information.
