PURPOSE: An engine having a variable valve lifting device and a cap shim thickness setting method thereof are provided to easily obtain a thickness of a cap shim by arranging the cap shim between a swing arm and valve. CONSTITUTION: An engine having a variable valve lifting device comprises a variable valve lifting device, a swing arm(160), a valve(170), and a cap shim(300). The variable valve lifting device variably controls a movement amount of an output cam. The swing arm is moved by the output cam. The valve opens and closes a port of a combustion chamber by the swing arm. The cap shim is arranged between the swing arm and valve, thereby reducing a cap between the swing arm and valve. The cap shim has a groove where a tip in the upper part is inserted. |
