PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve opening-closing timing control device and a method for fixing a front member, for fixing the front member by means of a plurality of flat countersunk head screws and which hardly cause loosening of fixation of the front member and a driving rotor.SOLUTION: The valve opening-closing timing control device includes: a driving rotor 1 which is rotated in synchronization with a crankshaft; a driven rotor which is rotated integrally with a cam shaft on the same axis X as the axis of the driving rotor 1; a phase control mechanism which changes and controls relative rotation phases of the driving rotor 1 and the driven rotor; and a torsion coil spring 10 which is locked to the front member 4 of the driving rotor 1 and the driven rotor and which urges the driven rotor in an advanced direction or a lag direction with respect to the driving rotor 1. The front member 4 comprises a plurality of bearing surfaces which are provided in such a manner as to be fixed by means of the flat countersunk head screw 7, and a locking portion 16 which locks an end 10b of the torsion coil spring 10 in a state of twisting the torsion coil spring 10. The locking portion 16 comprises an attachment portion 30 for an operation tool for performing a movement operation of the end 10b of the torsion coil spring 10 in a direction in which the degree of torsion of the torsion coil spring 10 is increased. |
