摘要 PURPOSE: A method for converting analog to digital in a SAR(successive approximation register) analog to digital converter is provided to reduce time to convert an input voltage which actually is sampled into a digital signal by estimating an analog input signal voltage. CONSTITUTION: A control logic turns on a switch which is connected to a sample/ older, a comparator, and a voltage terminal of a digital-to-analog converter. The control logic estimates a voltage of a sampled analog input signal. The control logic inputs the estimated input voltage to the digital-to-analog converter. The comparator compares the voltage of a currently sampled analog input signal with an output voltage of the digital-to-analog converter. The control logic compares the size of a sampled voltage with that of the estimated voltage. The control logic compares the sampled voltage with the estimated voltage in the comparator.
