PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink composition achieving excellent abrasion resistance of printed matters, storage stability, and discharge stability.SOLUTION: The aqueous ink composition includes a dispersion resin, a pigment, a basic compound, water, and an aqueous organic medium. The dispersion resin has the acid value of 70-250 mg-KOH/g and is obtained by copolymerizing an (α-methyl)styrene or an aromatic group-containing (meth)acrylate, a (meth)acrylate, an alkylene oxide group-containing (meth)acrylate represented by general formula 1, and a hydroxyl group-containing (meth)acrylate represented by general formula 2. In the general formula 1, CH=C(R)COO(CHCHO)-R: Rand Rare each independently H or CH; and n is an integer of 2-24. In the general formula 2, CH=C(R)COOR: Ris a 1-20C optionally branched alkyl group having 1-3 hydroxyl groups. |
