PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PWM inverter control method and control device which, by focusing on both a number of switching times and a phase current, can prevent unnecessary switching losses from occurring.SOLUTION: In a control method of the present invention, a saving phase and a change phase are identified on the basis of a first rule which, when switch cycles change, identifies a mode region in which an output vector is included, making it possible to identify a saving phase whose switch state does not change when a switch vector is successively selected according to a plurality of predetermined output sequence patterns, and a second rule which makes it possible to identify a change phase whose switch state changes when a selected switch vector is changed from one to another. Then, an output sequence pattern in which the phase current of the change phase multiplied by a constant k (where, 0<k<1) minus the phase current of the saving phase becomes minimum is selected, and a selected switch vector is changed from one to another according to the output sequence pattern. |
