PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship resistance reducing device capable of improving the net energy-saving effect by air lubrication in a case when a water flow in the vicinity of a ship bottom is diagonal with respect to a center line.SOLUTION: The ship resistance reducing device 10 includes air blow-off ports 31 formed on one side of port and starboard sides from the center line of a ship bottom, air blow-off ports 32 formed on the other side of the port and starboard sides from the center line of the ship bottom, an air supply device 20 which supplies air to the air blow-off ports 31 via a flow passage 41, and supplies air to the air blow-off ports 32 via a flow passage 42, a valve 51 provided in the flow passage 41, a valve 52 provided in the flow passage 42, and a control device 11. The control device 11 performs first control and second control. In the first control, the control device 11 maintains the valves 51, 52 in an open state. In the second control, the control device 11 maintains the valve 51 in an open state, and the valve 52 in a closed state. |
