PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall prevention device which can be easily designed for additional installation to an existing shelf and can deal with the connection of shelves and to provide a shelf provided with the fall prevention device.SOLUTION: The fall prevention device P is provided on a shelf T configured by mounting a shelf board 2 on which a storage article X can be placed between right and left shelf support structures 1 so as to prevent the storage article X from falling from the shelf board 2. A fall prevention body 3, a mounting member 4, and an operation mechanism 5 which comprise the fall prevention device P are arranged in an area between a center Z in a horizontal direction of a left shelf support structure 1 and a center Z in a horizontal direction of a right shelf support structure 1. |
