PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and easily disassemble a cemented carbide product with a cemented carbide insert fixed inside a case made of hardened steel like a forging die by thermal insertion or press fitting and to take out the insert.SOLUTION: A method of disassembling a cemented carbide product disassembles the cemented carbide product with a cemented carbide insert fixed inside a case made of hardened steel by thermal insertion or press fitting and takes out the insert. Such cemented carbide product is heated to a temperature above A3 transformation of the steel forming the case and then slowly cooled to take out the insert. |
