PURPOSE: An emergency stop method for hybrid construction machinery is provided to stably stop construction machinery in an emergency by confirming a position where a trouble is generated and absorbing the inertial energy of a turning body. CONSTITUTION: An emergency stop method for hybrid construction machinery is as follows. A position, where a trouble is generated, is confirmed among a turning body side, an engine side, and an ultra capacitor side of hybrid construction machinery. An inverter or converter connected to the confirmed position is turned off. An inverter or converter connected to the other position is powered, and the hybrid construction machinery is stopped by absorbing the inertial energy of a turning body through an ultra capacitor (130).
